Upcoming presence at the "Safe Athens 2017" Conference on High-End Technology and Civil Protection22/6/2017 Upcoming presence with one Oral Presentation at the "Safe Athens 2017" Conference on High-End Technology and Civil Protection, which will be held in Athens (Greece) from June 28th to the 30th, 2017.
I recently accepted the invitation to become a Technical Reviewer for the 37th IAHR World Congress, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from August 13th to the 18th, 2017. I will be contributing to the reviewing process of submissions under Congress Theme 4: Coastal, Estuaries and Lakes Management.
It is my view that the role of independent reviewers is critical for maintaining the quality of scientific research – especially in today's fast-moving "publish or perish" academic world – and I try my best to contribute to relevant processes for both scientific journals and conferences. The fact that the invitation came from IAHR, the leading worldwide organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application, only added-up to my commitment. Upcoming talk in the Cafés Scientifiques section of the Athens Science Festival, which will be held in Athens from March 29th to April 2nd, 2017.
